Dubai Economy & Tourism targets secondary markets in India
Ahead of the summer travel season, Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) dialled up its efforts to showcase the destination through B2B travel trade engagements such as trade workshops, mega familiarisation trips, exhibitions, and roadshows across India, including metro cities, tier II and III markets in the first half of the year. DET aims to position Dubai as the first-choice destination for Indian travellers. Benefitting from close proximity and direct connectivity to Indian cities, DET is committed to expanding its footprint in secondary markets in India and highlighting the myriad offerings Dubai has to offer.

OTOAI in association with the German National Tourist Office recently conducted a destination update and a member meet on July 12, 2023 at the Hyatt Regency, Lucknow. The three-and-a-half-minute ‘Shubha Mangalyam’ video, featuring lyrics in English, Hindi and Malayalam, portrays a non-Malayali couple celebrating their wedding in Kerala and enjoying the picturesque charm of the southern state.
