Changes in trends of travel
A major change in the travel pattern is that people have become more conscious, more willing to spend time on travel and are willing to go after experiences. People are opting for specific experiences over general travel. In terms of volume, the best comparison would be that after Covid nobody was ready because we never expected business to pick up to that level. Currently, with the situation in finance and the economy, travel is going on and if you see the number of hotels that are opening everywhere and the big companies are growing.I think in the age of AI and ChatGPT, the number of travellers will increase because people will be having more time at their disposal to spend on travel. It is also making it easier for them to plan the trip.
Segments of travellers
The thing about Dubai is that you just need to open the doors and it will fill up. The country is a safe country and very welcoming. There are so many different communities in the country in terms of entertainment, food and beverage and the best restaurants. In terms of segments, I cannot single out anything since the leisure travellers and destination weddings are coming. We have more destination weddings, incentive groups and more travellers coming from India. Previously, as India started to introduce the tax, we were worried that it is going to impact the business but the good thing is that as history goes, the market is going to regulate itself. The good thing about us is that since we have three products we can have high-end luxury, business and lifestyle.
USP of the property
They call it Al Habtoor City because it is like a city with a lot of residential units and three hotels. We have 1594 rooms as well as a lot of restaurants, tennis courts, seven pools etc. When you come in there, you have many options and it is in the centre of the city. It is a great place for the family and kids as there are a variety of cuisines available. For incentives and destination weddings, we have three ballrooms. We can divide the guests and over two-three days gave them different experiences in the same place.
