Prior to joining the Courtyard by Marriot Bengaluru Hebbal, Akshay was associated with Sheraton Grand Bangalore as the Director of Sales. A diligent persona, Akshay has many accolades to his name, with his career spanning over 15 years of rich experience in his domain, he has been instrumental in organizing many successful sales initiatives. His extensive expertise in various roles across sales – would contribute to his new role to oversee and head all operations across various specialties of sales and marketing. Akshay will be responsible for optimizing the hotel revenue performance, and managing the overall sales and marketing strategy and business development verticals. He will also be strategizing very closely with the food and beverage team to enhance their visibility and drive the reputation of the hotel.

Akshay hails from Mumbai and he pursued his MBA from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies. He gained a wealth of experience in the hospitality sector by working with many renowned brands across India including Marriott International, with which he has been associated for the last 6 years.
Akshay quotes himself as an amateur poet. He also enjoys cooking and reading in his leisure time.
