The company is looking at strengthening its presence in the state through a differentiated portfolio spanning luxury resorts, faith led hospitality and midscale stays. It recently inaugurated Rae by Tamara, Guruvayoor, India’s first faith intelligent hospitality brand, marking its foray into the growing faith tourism segment.
The next key addition to its Kerala portfolio is The Tamara Marina, Alleppey, an upcoming ultra luxury destination set along the state’s iconic backwaters. Conceived as a purpose-built luxury destination, the project will eventually bring together twenty-four luxury electric boat villas with single, double and triple bedrooms, alongside ten land-based bungalows. Making it the largest purpose-built resorts of its kind globally.
“India’s travel market is moving beyond established tourism hubs. We are seeing demand emerge from travellers who are seeking more purposeful experiences, whether that is a luxury escape, a wellness journey, a spiritual pilgrimage or a comfortable stay in an emerging destination. Kerala is particularly relevant to this evolution because of the breadth of experiences it offers, and our aspiration is to build a portfolio that responds to these distinct traveller needs while remaining true to responsible hospitality. The 40-property roadmap is therefore not simply about scale; it is about creating the right hospitality proposition for the right destination and the right traveller,” said Samir MC, CEO, Tamara Leisure Experiences. TLE’s expansion strategy includes both owned and asset-light growth, enabling the company to explore opportunities beyond traditional hospitality markets while building brands across different segments.
