Heavens Portfolio India adds Virgin Limited Edition safari retreats
Heavens Portfolio India has added Virgin Limited Edition’s African safari properties to its portfolio, representing Mahali Mzuri in Kenya’s Maasai Mara, Finch Hattons in Tsavo West National Park and Ulusaba Private Game Reserve in South Africa’s Sabi Sand. Founded by Sir Richard Branson, Virgin Limited Edition is known for distinctive, experience-led retreats. Ulusaba is scheduled to reopen in April 2027 following a complete redesign.
Summit Hotels signs 24-key retreat in Samthar, West Bengal
Summit Hotels & Resorts has signed a 24-key property in Samthar, West Bengal, marking its entry into the emerging Himalayan destination. Scheduled to open in October-November 2026, Summit Samthar – The Offbeat Collection will feature Kanchenjunga-facing rooms with balconies, a restaurant, private lawn, tea garden and outdoor spaces. Located around 30 km from Siliguri, Samthar offers opportunities for nature-led travel, hiking and birdwatching.
