The delegation from Department of Tourism, Culture & Media, Government of Ajman visited India for a three-city roadshow from August 31 to September 3, 2026, held across Mumbai, Hyderabad and Chennai. The press conference was graced by the presence of H.E. Mahmood Alhashmi – Director General; Dr. Abdulla Gohar – Project Management and Development Advisor; Dr. Sultan Alnuaimi – Director of Organisation and Operations Department; Salma Mohamed – Director of Corporate Communications; Amr Morsy – Business Development and Marketing Advisor from the Department of Tourism, Culture & Media, Government of Ajman.
Addressing the media, H.E. Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi, Director General, Department of Tourism, Culture & Media, Government of Ajman, said, “India is one of our key tourism markets, and we see strong potential to welcome more Indian visitors to Ajman. Today I am pleased to announce a new package of incentives for our travel and tourism partners from India. These incentives are designed to make our partnerships stronger and to support our partners and bring in more visitors to Ajman”.
Highlighting the strategic importance of India as a key source market in an exclusive interaction with BOTT, Amr Morsy said, “India is among the top five key source markets for Ajman and currently ranks third. Business from India is important not only for Ajman but to the whole of the UAE. With 9% year-over-year growth in 2024 and a further 12% in 2025, India remains a strategically important source market for Ajman. Visitors across all segments, such as leisure, families, business, and luxury, are equally important to us. Despite being the smallest of the seven emirates, Ajman is a leisure destination which combines the cultural heritage and authenticity of the UAE.”
A destination presentation showcased how Ajman offers truly remarkable and well-rounded cultural and recreational experiences to its visitors. The event concluded with a networking dinner.
