Air India Express to directly link Guwahati with UAE
Air India Express will become the first airline to directly connect Northeast India with West Asia, launching Guwahati–Dubai flights on August 4 and Guwahati–Abu Dhabi services on August 7, 2026. Marking its first international operations from Guwahati, the airline aims to strengthen tourism, trade and cultural ties. The UAE routes add to its growing Northeast network, which includes over 290 weekly flights from four regional stations.
Star Air launches Goa–Mundra flights
Goa’s domestic air connectivity has received a boost with Star Air launching a new non-stop service between Manohar International Airport, Goa, and Mundra, Gujarat. The route, operational from June 23, will operate five times a week from Tuesday to Saturday. The direct connection is expected to support tourism, business travel and economic exchange between Goa and Gujarat, while offering travellers another convenient option to visit the coastal state year-round.
Amora Beach Resort Phuket eyes Indian market
Amora Beach Resort Phuket is strengthening its focus on the Indian market through strategic travel trade partnerships and curated hospitality experiences. With Indian outbound travel to Thailand growing strongly, the resort is targeting leisure travellers, destination weddings, anniversaries, family holidays and MICE groups. Bollywood actors Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal recently celebrated their second wedding anniversary at the resort.

Atmosphere Core has earned strong guest-led recognition in the Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards 2026, with six Maldives resorts across Atmosphere Hotels & Resorts and COLOURS OF OBLU receiving honours. OBLU SELECT Lobigili won the Best of the Best Award, placing it among the top 1% of hotels worldwide. Five other resorts, including OBLU SELECT Sangeli and VARU by Atmosphere, ranked among the top 10% globally.
