The Outbound Tour Operators Association of India (OTOAI) Visit Qatar Q.P.S.C signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) aimed at strengthening tourism collaboration between India and Qatar. The MOU signing ceremony took place during Outbound Travel Mart (OTM) 2026 on 5 February 2026 at the Qatar Pavilion, marking an important milestone in enhancing bilateral tourism engagement.
The MOU was signed by Himanshu Patil, President, OTOAI, and Jassim Mahmoud, Director of PR & Communications, representing Visit Qatar Q.P.S.C.
The agreement reflects a shared commitment to promote Qatar as a preferred destination among Indian outbound travellers and to work jointly on tourism promotion initiatives. Key areas of collaboration include destination marketing, information exchange, trade engagement, and strengthening partnerships between Indian travel trade stakeholders and Qatar’s tourism ecosystem.
This collaboration is expected to open new avenues for leisure, luxury, MICE, destination weddings, and experiential travel segments, further reinforcing Qatar’s presence in the fast-growing Indian outbound travel market.
The signing of this MOU at OTM 2026 highlights OTOAI’s continued efforts to foster international tourism partnerships and create meaningful opportunities for its member travel agents across India.
