Chhattisgarh has attracted industrial investment proposals amounting to Rs 6,321 crore and Rs 505 crore dedicated to the development of the tourism sector, both of which are anticipated to create more than 3,000 employment opportunities in the forthcoming years.
According to a state government statement, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai attended the ‘Investor Connect’ program held here on 25 November, where the investment offers were received.

During the ‘Investor Connect’ program, Chhattisgarh received unprecedented investment proposals from top companies in industries like steel, energy, and tourism who expressed interest in establishing new industries, increasing capacity, constructing hotels, and developing waste-to-energy projects in the state, according to the release. In his comprehensive blueprint, tourist Secretary Dr. Rohit Yadav described Chhattisgarh as India’s most undiscovered high-value tourist frontier that is now prepared for corporate engagement.
Dr. Yadav stated that after successfully leasing out 15 properties in the previous phase, the state has already finished evaluating a new group of resorts, eco-lodges, and ethnic tourist assets. Numerous future sites are ideally situated close to forest belts, waterfalls, and tribal cultural centres, providing private operators with significant development possibilities.

The Dhandavi Nalvi Resort, which overlooks a Chitrakoot-style waterfall; the 11-acre Kabirdham Nature Resort; the 20-acre Saila Tourism Resort, which has 22 rooms; the Jashpur Ethnic Retreats, which are situated in tribal areas; a collection of Tree House Resorts that are awaiting private construction; the Korba Lakefront Retreat, which is situated between a mountain and a waterbody; and the five-acre Urdhar Hill Eco-Resort, which is close to Bilaspur.

The state administration, which now oversees all 17 properties, has confirmed that tenders will be issued soon. Long-term lease models will be made available to private parties for the development, growth, and management of these assets. Chief Minister Sai presented investment proposal letters detailing prospects in many areas and engaged with key investors, specialists, and industry representatives. According to the chief minister, Bastar’s tourism industry is rapidly changing as a result of a decline in Naxal violence and notable advancements in roads, internet connectivity, and security infrastructure. According to him, Bastar is currently becoming a new hub for tourism and investment.

Tourism Minister Rajesh Agrawal, Industries Minister Lakhanlal Dewangan of Chhattisgarh, Amit Agrawal (Secretary, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilisers, Government of India), and Sandeep Poundrik (Secretary, Ministry of Steel) were also present at the ceremony.
