The Northeast India Tourism Awards (NEITA) 2025, held at Radisson Blu, Guwahati, brought together some of the most influential names and emerging voices in the tourism industry for an evening of recognition, collaboration, and inspiration.
Organized by Emerging North East Eco Forum in association with Finderbridge.com, the event honoured the changemakers, entrepreneurs, and organizations who have been driving sustainable, inclusive, and innovative tourism across the eight Northeastern states. The evening was graced by Conrad Kongkal Sangma, Chief Minister of Meghalaya, as the Chief Guest, and Guest of Honour Riniki Bhuyan Sharma, Chairperson and Managing Director of Pride East Entertainments along with distinguished guests MP Dr. Bimol Akoijam and Ambassador Thanathip Upatasing, Former Ambassador to Russia, Japan, Indonesia, and the Philippines. Their presence underscored the growing global relevance and collaborative potential of Northeast India’s tourism landscape.
The 2025 edition featured over 700 nominations across categories such as Destination Excellence, Service Excellence, Cultural & Adventure Tourism, Sustainability & Community Engagement, and Digital & Media Excellence, including new recognitions. A highlight of the evening was the Crisis Management Award presented to the Indian Army for their exceptional service and resilience in safeguarding lives and maintaining peace during crises across the region.
From boutique homestays nestled in hidden valleys to content creators putting Northeast India on the global map, NEITA 2025 celebrated every voice shaping the region’s tourism narrative.
Founder and Chairman of Emerging North East Eco Forum, Satyajit Aribam addressed “NEITA is not just an award ceremony it’s a movement to recognize the power of collaboration, storytelling, and sustainability. Each winner and nominee represents the collective heartbeat of the Northeast tourism ecosystem.”
The evening concluded with cultural performances that showcased the region’s artistic richness, reaffirming NEITA’s mission to position Northeast India as one of the most dynamic and responsible travel destinations in the country.
