As one of the world’s top tourist destinations, Thailand’s adoption of a digital arrival system is expected to create a seamless and efficient experience for foreign visitors. The new system requires travelers to submit their information online within three days before arrival via the official portal https://tdac.immigration.go.th or by scanning a QR code.
How It Works
Online Registration: Travelers log into the designated portal and provide personal and trip-related details, including name, nationality, passport number, flight details, and accommodation address in Thailand.
Submission & Acknowledgment: Upon completion, an acknowledgment email is sent to the traveler.
Immigration Checkpoint Verification: Upon arrival, travelers must present the acknowledgment email along with their travel documents to immigration officers for verification.
Officials from the Thailand Immigration Bureau highlighted that the new system will speed up entry procedures, reduce administrative burdens, and enhance national security by providing real-time traveler data.
Tourism experts believe that this paperless initiative will further boost Thailand’s appeal as a tourist-friendly destination, ensuring hassle-free entry for millions of visitors. As digital transformation continues to reshape global travel, Thailand sets a strong example in leveraging technology to enhance visitor experiences while strengthening border controls.
