In his keynote address, Shri Shekhawat lauded ITTA’s efforts in fostering growth and collaboration within the industry. Recognizing the sector’s significant contributions, he assured attendees that the government is keen to resolve pressing challenges and extend full support to ensure sustainable growth. He also announced plans for a dedicated meeting with the banking sector in 2025 to address industry-specific issues, including access to loans and financial challenges.
The Minister highlighted the importance of sustainable practices in the tourism sector, stating, “The way tourism prospects, tourists, and congestion are increasing in our country, sustainability is going to be a challenge. We should start with mobility. I request you to encourage your car drivers to become flag bearers of sustainability.
The inaugural session was led by Convention Chairman K.S. Sawhney and ITTA President Satish Sehrawat, and witnessed the presence of distinguished dignitaries. The event commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony and a series of addresses from ITTA office bearers and notable guests. A key highlight was the release of a manual dedicated to the industry, symbolizing ITTA’s commitment to innovation and excellence.
The Indian Tourist Transporters Association is a robust organization with a membership base of over 350, of which more than 200 members are based in and around Delhi. The association represents operators recognized by the Ministry of Tourism and is committed to advancing the interests of the tourist transport sector across India.
