On the occasion of International MSME Day, a conference was organised by the Chamber of Service Industry in New Delhi on 26th June 2024.The event aimed to shed light on new ventures emerging in the MSME service industry sector, showcasing how defence personnel are well-suited for roles in tourism, hospitality, retail, management, security, wellness, environmental protection and other segments of Service Industry.
Ms. Mercy Epao, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of MSME, Government of India, was the Chief Guest, and Mr. Arun Srivastava, Joint Director General of the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, was the Special Guest of Honour. The conference also featured addresses by Dr. Subhash Goyal, President of the Chamber for Service
Industry, Brigadier Inder Mohan Singh, President of the Indian Ex-Servicemen League, Col.Tejandra Pal Tyagi, President, Rashtriya Sainik Sanstha and other Industry experts.
A large gathering of defence personnel and their spouses attended this innovative conference, which was the first of its kind in India focused on the MSME service industry. The Chamber for Service Industry (CSI) emphasized its commitment to research and development, training and innovation, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions), and other segments to enhance service exports from India.
