The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has announced the success of Thailand Travel Mart Plus (TTM+) 2026, held from June 10 to 12, 2026 at the NICE Pattaya Convention and Exhibition Center in Chon Buri, delivering strong business results alongside measurable sustainability outcomes aligned with Thailand’s quality-led tourism direction.
The three-day event generated more than 15,000 business appointments and is expected to create over 5.08 billion Baht in tourism revenue, up 12.9% from 2025. These results reflect continued confidence in Thailand’s tourism industry and the value of TTM+ as the country’s flagship international B2B travel trade platform.
Under a Zero Waste to Landfills approach, TTM+ 2026 sorted 931.75 kilogrammes of waste, reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 700.75 kilogrammes of carbon dioxide equivalent, equal to the carbon absorption capacity of around 80 trees.
Thapanee Kiatphaibool, TAT Governor, said, “TTM+ 2026 demonstrates how Thailand’s tourism industry can grow through business value and responsible event delivery. Sustainability remains central to TAT’s direction, and this year’s Zero Waste to Landfills approach shows how a major travel trade event can reduce environmental impact while creating practical benefits for local communities. These outcomes support our commitment to quality growth, stronger partnerships, and a more sustainable future for Thai tourism.”
Waste management at NICE Pattaya was operated by N.C.C. Management & Development through more than 20 sorting points across the venue. Waste was separated into liquid and ice, food waste, recyclables, and general waste, supported by on-site staff guidance. AI scanning recorded waste volumes in real time before each stream was directed for appropriate treatment.
Food waste was processed into compost by Recycle Din; general waste, along with used wooden utensils and chopsticks, was converted into refuse-derived fuel by Rungcharoen Environmental Service; and plastic, glass, and aluminium containers were recycled by Recycle Day.
TAT also carried out community-focused initiatives alongside the event. Reusable materials, including vinyl, carpet, plywood, steel, plants, and props, were donated to organisations in Chon Buri, including Baan Kru Boonchoo Foundation for Special Children, Phinchaem School, and NICE Pattaya. Surplus food was also redistributed to educational institutions and public-benefit organisations in the area.
TTM+ 2026 further strengthened its role as Thailand’s flagship platform for creating business opportunities for tourism operators while demonstrating responsible event delivery in practice. Data collected, including water and electricity use, waste volume, and travel-related activity, will support TAT’s ongoing work to improve eco-efficiency, advance green event standards, and scale sustainable practices across future tourism events.
