He has played a pivotal role in the company’s growth from 23 operational hotels with 1,300 rooms in 2015 to over 100 hotels with 6,500+ rooms today. Under his leadership, The Fern Hotels & Resorts crossed a major milestone this year with 150+ signed properties and more than 10,000 rooms.
Devraj Halder – Associate Vice President – Operations (North India)
Devraj Halder has been elevated to Associate Vice President – Operations (North India) at The Fern Hotels & Resorts. His two-decade-long journey in the hospitality sector includes leadership roles with Mahindra & Mahindra (as part of the founding pre-opening team of Club Mahindra), Renaissance, IHG and Royal Orchid.
He brings deep expertise in food & beverage and in managing profitable, niche hotel operations. Known for his ability to drive team synergy, think beyond the present and constantly innovate, Devraj continues to play a pivotal role in operational excellence across the brand.
Kevin Ashley Martis – Associate Vice President – Sales & Marketing (Western India)
Kevin Ashley Martis has been promoted to Associate Vice President – Sales & Marketing (Western India) at The Fern Hotels & Resorts. With over 20 years of experience in hospitality sales, he has played a key role in driving revenue growth and market positioning for the brand.
His career spans leadership roles with reputed hospitality names such as Meluha The Fern, RODAS – An Ecotel Hotel, VITS Hotels & Resorts, Sahara Star and the Bawa Group of Hotels. In his current role, Kevin heads the company’s Mumbai & Gujarat Regional Sales Offices and oversees the Sales & Marketing function of the company’s hotels in Mumbai, Gujarat & Goa. He is known for his strong industry network, customer-centric approach and deep market intelligence. His focus on delivering value-driven results continues to support The Fern Hotels & Resort’s strategic expansion in Western India.
Vinod Cougnery – Associate Vice President – Sales & Marketing (Maharashtra)
Vinod Cougnery has been elevated to Associate Vice President – Sales & Marketing (Maharashtra) at The Fern Hotels & Resorts. A seasoned hospitality professional with 23+ years of experience, he plays a strategic role in driving brand growth and market expansion in the region, overseeing the Pune Regional Sales Office and the sales at the company’s hotels in Maharashtra.
His career spans leading hospitality brands including The Orchid Group of Hotels, Regus Plc, Hotel Parc Estique and Concept Hospitality itself, where he has made significant contributions in both past and current tenures. Prior to rejoining Concept Hospitality, he led corporate sales and strategic alliances as Director of Sales at The O Hotel, Pune.
In recognition of his performance, Vinod was awarded ‘The Most Successful General Manager – Sales & Marketing of the Year’ at the 6th Hospitality India Travel Awards 2023. Known for blending data-driven decision-making with a collaborative leadership style, he has built strong industry relationships while championing The Fern Hotels & Resorts eco-sensitive philosophy and commitment to guest excellence.
