Thai Golf Pass holds Amazing Thailand Golf Paradise Virtual Webinar

Thai Golf Pass, the first ever loyalty program for any country organised Amazing Thailand Golf Paradise Webinar for the esteemed golfers, travel agents.

in Bott Short News

The e-Webinar organised on 31st August brought together many keen golfers from India and golf course representatives from Phuket.

The Webinar was attended by top industry leaders and golfing ambassadors in the urge to travel and discuss about the efforts taken by Thailand to invite more and more golfers from India to the Amazing Paradise (as they all call it). The Tourism Authority of India, New Delhi office and Thai Golf Pass launched an e-booklet for the travellers for a one stop point for their next travel to Thailand.

Amazing Thailand is a dream destination for the golfers all around the world as it has amazing Golf facilities. Ideally more than 200 golf courses are located there throughout the country, by the sea, by the mountains, by the lakes, inside the city and even besides the airports. Top quality courses, reasonable green fees, friendly caddies attract golfers to visit this amazing place! From the beach resorts in the south such as Phuket to the mountainous surroundings in the north, or the bustling cities of Bangkok and Pattaya, there are golf courses to suit every preference.

Khun Vachirachai Sirisumpan, Director, Tourism Authority of Thailand, New Delhi Office commented “We were excited to see the number of golfers travelling to Thailand steadily increasing till the Pandemic shook up the world tourism industry bringing all travel to a sudden halt. Keeping in mind the quality of the Golf product and hospitality on offer in Thailand it is expected that Thailand would be the first destination where the majority of the golfers would travel for their first golf holiday post two years of Covid19 especially as all courses have not only been working on health and safety, but also at the same time ensuring a memorable experience for the golfer of playing golf in Thailand.”

“When it comes to hospitality no country comes closer to perfection than Thailand offering something for everyone of diverse interest, every age and every budget. From pristine sandy beaches to lush jungles, bustling busy cities to traditional villages, Michelin star menus to roadside noodle stalls, historic Buddhist temples to 21st century sky scrapers, Thailand is truly amazing!” added Mr. Anil Dev, Promotor, Thai Golf Pass

During the special address, Rtn Parag Sheth, Founder, South Asian Fellowship of Golfing Rotarians said “It will be the biggest Golfers Club in South Asia Our members are avid travelers who travel all over the world for Golf. Our members like to travel with their families and Thailand is a great destination for them too- The beaches, shopping food all add to a great holiday. SAFGR has already planned to make Thailand an Annual golfing destination. We had planned a Golf Retreat in Hua Hin but could not go due to Covid Pandemic. We all are waiting for Thailand to fully open eagerly.”

Mr. Rajan Sehgal, President, India Golf Tourism Association also shared his insights on tourism in Thailand.

Two presenters from Phuket, Thailand, Mr. Darren Robson, Director of Golf, Laguna Golf Phuket and Mr. Songkiat Artorngit, Clubhouse Manager Red Mountain Golf Club highlighted the products and services to the participants along with various safety precautions being taken at the golf courses.

Given the consistent restrictions and safety of the travelers, Thailand is now opening to fully vaccinated people with strict social distancing and wearing masks. The webinar concluded with a Poll for all the Participants and 80% of them voted that they will like to visit Phuket as their next travel destination.

Phuket Sandbox program allows vaccinated foreign tourists to enter Phuket from 1 July. Travelers do not need to do quarantine. Amazing Thailand Safety & Health Administration(SHA) project is a result of cooperation between the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the Tourism Authority of Thailand(TAT) as well as many sectors involved in the tourism Industry. A certificate that represents tourism industry entrepreneurs readiness in improving their products, services and sanitation measures which is the crucial factor in preventing the spread of Covid-19.
