The bi-monthly TAFI WI Meeting in Mumbai witnessed the presence of Abbas Moiz, President, TAFI National Managing Committee, and Jay Kantawala, Chapter Chairman, TAFI Western India, alongside notable travel trade professionals. The objective of the meeting was to address the recent travel industry developments and to educate members on critical aspects and implications of the Labour Law. Engaging presentations were delivered by Vijay Kesavan of Aerticket and Bazyan Mistry of Talisman, who were recognized with a token of appreciation.
In an exclusive chat with BOTT, expressing his pride in leading TAFI in its landmark 40th year, Abbas Moiz said, “TAFI has grown over the years, and it embodies a sense of trust as an organisation. We have a robust line-up of events being planned on a Pan-India basis to mark the occasion. We have given all our chapters a free hand in planning celebrations in a way they feel best, and the National Committee will support them. Reflecting upon the current industry challenges, he remarked, “These situations are hurdles which you need to surmount . Proper execution, education, knowledge and experience are the key factors in overcoming such hurdles.”
Jay Kantawala said, “Today’s meeting was held to highlight and educate our members about the current labour law and the industry updates. Through our sessions, we empower our members by educating them about the use of AI and social media, which will help them enhance their business growth and generate revenue.” He also added that the members need to adapt and accept to the present industry challenges and find a way to generate business from the avenues which are available.
Speaking about the unveiling of the new logo, which commemorates the completion of 40 years of TAFI he remarked, “There are various initiatives and events planned for this landmark year with a focus on innovation, member support and the collective growth of TAFI as an organisation.”
