As part of Novotel’s global partnership with WWF, the hotel hosted a special World Ocean Day Brunch on 7th June at Food Exchange, followed by a hands-on sustainable workshop, ‘Upcycle for the Ocean’ on 13th June, reinforcing its commitment to ocean preservation, mindful consumption, and environmental awareness.
Rooted in Novotel’s global ocean protection commitment with WWF, the initiatives reflected the brand’s focus on driving positive impact through responsible hospitality. Through this partnership, Novotel continues to champion greater awareness around ocean conservation, sustainable choices, and community-led action, encouraging guests to engage with environmental responsibility in ways that feel accessible, thoughtful, and impactful.
The celebrations began with the World Ocean Day Brunch at Food Exchange, which offered guests a refined afternoon of coastal flavours and elegant indulgence. Thoughtfully curated to honour the bounty and beauty of the ocean, the brunch featured a distinctive selection of seafood delicacies, refreshing seasonal creations, and themed desserts. Guests enjoyed signature preparations including Lobster Bisque, Ocean Fish and Risotto Croquettes with Seaweed Aioli, Classic Tuna Nicoise, Crab and Avocado Steak, and Kalamari and Citrus Salad. The main course continued the ocean-inspired experience with highlights such as Seafood Paella, Steamed Seabass with Ginger and Scallion, and Aquapyaza Fish, while desserts like Ocean Blue Coconut Panna Cotta, Sea Breeze Tres Leches, and Pearl of the Ocean brought the brunch to a memorable close. The brunch was hosted on 7th June from 12:30 PM to 4:00 PM, with packages priced at INR 2,999 without alcohol and INR 4,499 with alcohol.
Continuing the World Ocean Day programming, the hotel hosted ‘Upcycle for the Ocean’ on 13th June, a creative sustainability workshop designed to encourage both children and adults to reimagine discarded plastic bottles into useful and artistic objects. Participants transformed everyday plastic waste into planters, bird feeders, lanterns, pen stands, and bracelets, turning a simple hands-on activity into a larger conversation around plastic reduction and marine protection. The workshop was conducted in collaboration with The Creative Social, a community focused on wellness-centred experiences.
The session blended creativity with environmental awareness, encouraging participants to look at plastic differently and understand the value of mindful reuse. With paints, brushes, wires, and discarded bottles placed across the workshop tables, the experience created an engaging platform for families, children, and the local community to pause, participate, and reflect on how small everyday choices can contribute to a more sustainable future.
