Naad, a boutique wellness centre located in Kundli, on the outskirts of New Delhi, operates on the principles of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy. The property features a bouquet of experiences that begin at 3 nights and go up to 28 nights and include a combination of both experiential and medical packages. Naad is the primordial sound that echoes through the universe, the vibration that is believed to have originated with its creation and has been reverberating through our very being ever since. It resonates with the awakening of our spiritual growth, our kundalini and the time when we truly begin to find ourselves. Manoj Khetan, Co-Founder – Naad Wellness, gives BOTT an exclusive insight into the property, its functioning and the principles it follows.

What is the reason behind naming he property ‘Naad’?
It is believed that when the universe was created, the sound that resonated from it has been entrenched into its very being ever since. This sound, known as ‘Naad’, reverberates through us even now and it has been associated with the awakening of one’s spiritual growth, a time when we truly begin to find ourselves.
This has been the inspiration of naming our wellness centre Naad and its tagline (For a sound you), as the beginning of one’s journey to healing and holistic well-being, when we start feeling at one with the universe.
What is your target clientele? Are you looking for more domestic or international tourists?
Our target clientele is a mix of both domestic and international guests. Given its close proximity to New Delhi NCR, most of our guests have been from this region.
Additionally, since Delhi’s international airport is connected to nearly all major cities in the world, our overseas guests too find it most convenient to fly in and reach here directly, instead of making an additional journey within the country. Irrespective of the region or country they came from, they have been serious wellness seekers who came with an objective to heal themselves.
What is the current percentage of tourists / guests that you get at the property?
Given that Naad just about a year old and our sales and marketing endeavours began only recently (once we were confident that we are completely ready), we have very limited data in response to this.
Do you have trained / experienced people in Ayurveda offering the treatment?
Absolutely. All our therapists had a certain amount of experience and professional qualifications before they joined us. They are continuously trained even now by our team of doctors, who personally oversee the treatment process of each and every guest.
Please elaborate a little on the treatments provided at the property and how they are beneficial for the guests?
Naad brings together the ancient principles of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy and makes them relevant to our modern-day lifestyle disorders.
Each experience is preceded by a one-on-one consultation with a resident doctor – we have both Ayurvedic and Naturopathic doctors in our team. The doctor then plans for an itinerary which is a combination of therapies, yoga, kriyas and nutrition.
The therapies cannot be chosen by the guest but are rather suggested by the doctor in accordance with the individual body type and the health objective. It is customised to such a degree, that even if there are two guests staying on the same package at the same time, they may experience different therapies and different meal plans.
However, to name some of the therapies we offer, we have the traditional Ayurvedic ones, such as, Shirodhara, Abhyanga, Udhwarthanam, Choorna Pinda Sweda, Dhanyamladhara, Shashtikashali Pinda Sweda; Naturopathy therapies like the Therapeutic Massage, Colon Hydrotherapy, Mud Packs, Cryotherapy; International treatments like the Thai Massage, Balinese Massage, Swedish Massage; alternative forms of healing like acupuncture and acupressure. We also feature unique experiences like the Turkish Hammam and a Himalayan Salt Cave (for respiratory and skin disorders).
The objective is to heal the body, mind and spirit from within, addressing the root cause of disease and imbalance, rather than offering a superficial short-term solution.
How economically priced are you? People usually perceive Ayurvedic resorts to be on the expensive side, especially down south. Do you also fall in that category?
Until a few years ago, authentic Ayurvedic therapies in India were limited to only Ayurvedic hospitals and rustic wellness centres. There was a huge gap between premium wellness destinations and such centres.
Naad endeavours to present the best of both worlds and bridges the gap between the two by enabling authentic therapies and a strict routine in an upscale setting. Our pricing is also competitively priced, aligned with this objective. We start at Rs. 49,000 all-inclusive for a 3-night package. Our guests have to pay just once, and everything from their therapies to refreshments and meals, yoga sessions, recreational activities and more are included in this.
Is there any more information that you would like to share with us?
We would like to reiterate that Naad is most unlike a spa, wherein the guest has the option of choosing their own therapies and schedule. The routine is fairly regimented, and we strongly recommend our guests to surrender themselves to the experience completely rather than fight it. Only then, will they be able to truly feel the difference and reap the benefits.
