Malaysia Airlines will operate up to 1,557 flights, while Firefly will provide up to 1,176 services connecting key destinations across Peninsular Malaysia and East Malaysia. This expanded schedule provides travellers with greater flexibility and more options to plan their journeys home.
To meet strong demand, Malaysia Airlines will upgrade aircraft on high-traffic routes including Alor Setar, Kota Bharu, Terengganu, Miri, Sibu, Kuching, Tawau, Sandakan, and Kota Kinabalu. The airline will also operate red-eye flights to Kota Kinabalu, Sandakan, and Kuching, allowing travellers to make most of their travel days.
To complement these additional flights, the airlines are offering fixed all-in one-way fares for key East Malaysia routes. Malaysia Airlinesfares start from RM339 to Sarawak and RM399 to Sabah on selected flights, while Firefly fares start from RM298 to Sarawak and RM348 to Sabah. These fares are available for purchase from now until 29 March 2026, for travel between 17 March and 29 March 2026 exclusively via the airlines’ official websites and mobile apps.
In support of the Government’s festive travel initiative, both airlines will also cap fares on selected East Malaysia routes with Malaysia Airlines offering maximum all-in one-way fares up to RM569*, while Firefly will offer fares up to RM548* all-in one-way, for travel between 17 March and 20 March 2026.
