In a significant move to boost tourism and enhance connectivity within the state, Madhya Pradesh inaugurated the PM Shri Tourism Air Service, linking key cities including Ujjain, Gwalior, and Rewa. The Chief Minister, Dr. Mohan Yadav, marked the occasion by unveiling the digital ticket window in Bhopal.
Dr. Yadav emphasized the multifaceted benefits of the Pushrod Tourism Air Service, highlighting its potential to catalyze tourism, industry, trade, healthcare, and education sectors. He underscored Madhya Pradesh’s status as a global tourist hotspot and stressed the importance of the new air service in facilitating easier access for both national and international tourists.
Operated by Madhya Pradesh Tourism in collaboration with M/s Jet Serve Aviation Private Limited on a Public-Private Partnership basis, the PM Shri Tourism Air Service will connect eight cities across the state: Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Rewa, Ujjain, Gwalior, Singrauli, and Khajuraho.
Scheduled to commence operations from June 13, the air service will initially serve Bhopal, Jabalpur, Rewa, and Singrauli, with Gwalior joining on June 15 and Ujjain on June 16. The service will deploy two aircraft with six passenger seats each.
Prospective travelers can access information on flight schedules and fares through the official website https://flyola.in, with booking counters being established at airports in Indore, Bhopal, and Jabalpur.
During the government’s six-month achievement review meeting at the Ministry in Bhopal, Principal Secretary of Tourism and Culture, Shivshankar Shukla, provided insights into the PM Shri Tourism Air Service’s operational details. Notably, Rewa will be connected to Indore, Jabalpur, and Bhopal twice a week (Mondays and Thursdays), while Gwalior will have flights to Indore, Bhopal, and Ujjain on Tuesdays and Bhopal on Saturdays. Ujjain will enjoy thrice-weekly connections to Indore, Bhopal, and Gwalior (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Sundays), and Khajuraho will be linked to Bhopal and Jabalpur every Friday.
The launch of the PM Shri Tourism Air Service marks a significant step towards bolstering Madhya Pradesh’s tourism infrastructure and fostering economic growth through enhanced connectivity.
