Upon their arrival in the vibrant “City of Joy,” ICPB delegates were greeted with a warm welcome from representatives of West Bengal Tourism. This initiative marks a significant step in promoting Kolkata as a leading destination for MICE tourism in India.
The delegates’ first destination was the expansive Eco Park, one of the largest open spaces in the city. Spanning an impressive 500 acres, Eco Park features a 100-acre water body with a picturesque island at its center. The park is home to a variety of attractions, including replicas of the Seven Wonders of the World and the innovative Solar Dome, which is equipped with 2,000 active solar panels for continuous solar power generation. Visitors can also enjoy scenic boat rides around Eco Park Island.
Eco Park is not only a recreational haven but also a versatile venue for events. It offers state-of-the-art banquet facilities, making it an ideal location for weddings and other significant gatherings. This multifaceted site is a must-visit for travelers seeking unique experiences in Kolkata.
The collaboration between ICPB and West Bengal Tourism highlights the potential of Kolkata as a hub for MICE tourism, offering a blend of cultural richness, modern amenities, and sustainable attractions.
