As per the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), this temporary arrangement has been enforced with immediate effect. He will continue overseeing the Tourism portfolio until Srivatsa Krishna (IAS, Karnataka cadre, 1994 batch) formally steps into the role of Tourism Secretary, or until a further directive is issued.
Aggarwal has previously served in several significant roles in the Union Government, including Additional Secretary in both the Department of Revenue and the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare. He has also held key positions within the Financial Intelligence Unit–India (FIU-IND), adding to his extensive administrative experience.
