In a recent press note released by the Le Meridien New Delhi, the hotel has enumerated some of the initiatives that it has been undertaking int he recent times to contribute to the society in the prevailing tough times. Here’s an excerpt from the release –
“Our doors may be closed for now but we remain committed to foster creativity and engage our guests with inspiring and stimulating experiences.
The online cooking sessions by our Chefs have been very well received. This not only gives us an opportunity to stay connected but also helps us share great ideas and culinary expertise that in the current situation will help all of us to stay positive and invigorated.
In the meanwhile, we have committed ourselves to serve the community. This is a war like situation and we must stand by one another.
Our team has been tirelessly working to fulfill some of the needs of the society. Our efforts may be small but our passion and spirit has been steadfast
Over the last few days we were able to lend support to some of the initiatives like:
- Supporting CII-YI initiative to deliver rations to 6500+ people in bastis, slums and underprivileged homes
- Supporting CII Delhi State Council’s effort to deliver food packets to the daily wagers who are currently unemployed, 2000 meals were distributed
- Distribution of 1000 housekeeping kits in shelter homes through Gautam Gambhir Foundation (towels, pillows, sheets, soaps and cotton masks stitched by our team), our initiative was supported by our distinguished customer and well wisher, Sleepwell Foundation’s managing trustee Mrs. Namita Gautam.
- Delivery of dry rations to the slums of Gautampuri, home for the students of Joining Hands
- Delivery of Sleeping kits and Toilet kits to Charitable hospital through our CSR partner, Joining Hands
- Assisted “Pins and Needles”, an NGO supported CII-IWN , with new fabric for making masks, masks are made by women to raise funds.”
