Praveen Ghaai, Joint Secretary and Treasurer of ETAA (Enterprising Travel Agents Association) and representative of North India, met recently with Kapil Mishra, Tourism Minister, Government of NCT of Delhi.
During the meeting, ETAA apprised the Minister about key concerns and suggestions to enhance tourism in Delhi. The delegation discussed the following points:
- Regularization of Travel Agents in Delhi to prevent fraud and build trust among tourists
- Strategies to promote Domestic and Inbound Tourism in Delhi
- Addressing the impact of pollution on tourist inflow in the city
- Improving tourist facilities, including the establishment of Tourist Police and public convenience places
- Registration of travel agents with the Ministry of Delhi Tourism to boost tourist confidence
The Minister appreciated ETAA’s proactive approach and assured support in addressing these issues. He directed his officers to submit a report on the discussed points, indicating a positive step towards collaborative tourism development in Delhi.
ETAA looks forward to working with the Delhi Tourism Ministry to implement these initiatives and promote Delhi as a safe and attractive tourist destination.
