Dev is a talented hotelier who joins this new resort following his previous role as General Manager of Courtyard by Marriott Bangkok. He has transitioned into the GM’s position following a successful career in the fields of financial management, auditing, compliance and accounting, with almost two decades of global executive experience.
This solid financial background is blended with Dev’s deep passion for hospitality and a commitment to crafting memorable guest journeys. This gives him a unique ability to understand the value of a business strategy, both from a financial and emotional standpoint. With an inspiring leadership style, he is set to guide Khao Lak Marriott Beach Resort & Spa through a smooth opening phase and into a successful future.
Prior to his successful five-year spell as GM of Courtyard by Marriott Bangkok, Dev was Cluster Director of Finance for three hotels in Thailand: JW Marriott Hotel Bangkok, Courtyard by Marriott Bangkok, and Renaissance Koh Samui Resort & Spa. Before that, he enjoyed 10 years with Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts in Africa and the Middle East. A certified chartered accountant, Dev has also achieved a certificate in Hotel Real Estate and Investments & Asset Management from the prestigious Cornell University.
Supporting Dev will be a talented executive team of Thai and international hospitality experts, including Director of Finance Mr. Pattharayuth Sudjit, Director of Rooms Ms. Suphalak Jampasri, Director of Sales & Marketing Young Eun Lee, Director of Food & Beverage Mr. Jose Dominguez, Executive Chef Mr. Fabio Genghini, and Director of Human Resources Ms. Sukanya Samae.
