Cavaliere Giovanni brings a wealth of experience gained over 36 years in the hospitality sector to launch the next chapter of the storied Raffles brand on Sentosa, Singapore’s “island in the city”.

Cavaliere Giovanni was formerly the General Manager of The Fullerton Hotels and Resorts (FHR), a role he had held since early 2010. He played a pivotal role in overseeing the strategic direction and development of The Fullerton Heritage Precinct, which comprises seven landmarks: The Fullerton Hotel
Singapore, The Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore, The Fullerton Waterboat House, One Fullerton, The Fullerton Pavilion, Clifford Pier and Customs House.
In August 2016, Cavaliere Giovanni was knighted with The Order of the Star of Italy (Ordine Della Stella D‘Italia). The honorary award is bestowed upon Italians residing overseas or foreigners who have achieved particular merit in the promotion of friendship and cooperation, scientific and cultural ties with Italy.
Following his appointment in February 2022, Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort & Spa received many awards and the resort’s commitment to sustainability was recognised with Green Globe Certification. Additionally, readers of Business Traveller Asia Pacific voted the hotel as “Best Urban Resort Hotel in Asia-Pacific” in the publication’s first such ranking.
