
Philippine Airlines plans Delhi–Manila and Mumbai–Manila flights
Philippine Airlines will launch three weekly Delhi–Manila flights and four weekly Mumbai–Manila services from December 2026, subject to government approval. Delhi flights will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, while Mumbai services will run on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Both routes will be operated by 168-seat Airbus A321neo aircraft featuring 12 lie-flat Business Class seats and 156 Economy seats, with Indian meals and Jain options onboard.
KTM 2026 concludes with 58,000 business meetings
The 13th Kerala Travel Mart (KTM 2026) concluded in Kochi after recording 58,000 B2B meetings, including 45,000 pre-scheduled interactions. The four-day event attracted over 1,500 buyers, including a record 380 international buyers from 59 countries. Discussions focused on AI, personalised travel, Ayurveda, wellness and adventure tourism, while 383 industry stalls showcased Kerala’s diverse tourism offerings and strengthened its positioning as a global experiential destination.
The Fern Hotels & Resorts signs new Wayanad property
The Fern Hotels & Resorts has signed The Fern Broad Bean Resort Wayanad, Series by Marriott, strengthening its South India portfolio to 17 operational and upcoming properties. Scheduled to open in the second half of 2027, the resort will feature 65 rooms and suites, an all-day dining restaurant, bar/lounge, two banquet halls and a boardroom, along with a gym, swimming pool and spa.
Tanzania makes Inbound Travel Insurance mandatory
From October 1, 2026, foreign visitors entering Tanzania must hold valid inbound travel insurance. The policy costs USD 44 for adults and USD 22 for children aged 3–17, while infants are covered free. Valid for up to 92 days, it includes emergency medical treatment, evacuation, repatriation and baggage loss. One policy is sufficient for combined Mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar itineraries, based on first entry point.
