Lemon Tree Hotels signs new property in Srinagar
Lemon Tree Hotels has signed a License Agreement viz Keys Select by Lemon Tree Hotels, Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir. The property shall be managed by Carnation Hotels, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lemon Tree Hotels and is expected to open in FY 2026. This hotel will feature 40 well-appointed rooms, two restaurants, a meeting room, and a fitness centre.
Air India to upgrade its entire narrow-body fleet by mid-2025
Air India, which will soon have its sister airline Vistara merge into it, aims to upgrade all its narrow-body aircraft by mid-2025. Narrow-body aircraft are the mainstay of domestic airline operations for most airlines, with wide-body ones typically flown on long-haul routes.
Maharashtra gets three new Vande Bharat trains
Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched three new Vande Bharat Express trains in Maharashtra. This has given Maharashtra a total of 11 Vande Bharat trains, marking a great improvement in the state’s train transportation. The 3 new routes are – Nagpur-Secunderabad, Kolhapur-Pune and Pune-Hubballi.
4 villages in Uttarakhand to be honoured with National Tourism Award
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami recently announced that four villages from the state have been selected for the prestigious ‘Best Tourism Village,’ which is a recognition awarded by the Union Ministry of Tourism. As per a statement released from CMO, these villages will be awarded for their noteworthy contributions to rural tourism on International Tourism Day in New Delhi.
