ITC Hotels add five more properties as brand Storii expands
ITC Hotel’s growth story continues to rise with group signing 5 boutique properties under the new brand, Storii by ITC Hotels. Popular leisure destinations Goa, Dharamshala, Solan, Sirmour and Kufri are the frontliner destinations for Storii with Storii Goa and StoriiDharmashala already opening doors to guests. With the recent openings at Goa and Dharamshala, the ITC HOTELS Group now has its 5th property in Goa and its 12th hotel in Himachal Pradesh. IHCL signs second hotel In Dharamshalaunder the SeleQtions Brand
Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) announced the signing of its second hotel in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh under the SeleQtions brand. A franchised hotel in management with Sohum Hotels & Resorts, the operational hotel will be rebranded under the IHCL SeleQtions brand. Commenting on the signing, Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate & Development, IHCL, said, “With a strong footprint across India, it is IHCL’s continuous endeavour to expand and strengthen its presence in key tourism destinations. Stretching across the magnificent Dhauladhar Range, Dharamshala is popular among tourists, scholars and pilgrims alike. The signing of our first hotel here under the SeleQtions brand will help re-imagine the hospitality landscape, while allowing travellers to immerse themselves in authentic local experiences. Air India to offer Premium Economy on long haul flights
The airline has contracted the use of 25 Airbus A320 and A321 neos and 5 Boeing B777-200LRs on a leasing basis. According to the airline, this is the first significant fleet increase since the Tata Group’s takeover of Air India earlier this year, which also coincides with the recent return to service of 16 short and long-haul aircraft.The B777-200LRs will enter service with the company between December 2022 and March 2023, primarily for use on transatlantic flights. The airline has confirmed that these flights include Premium Economy seats, albeit the precise configuration remains unknown.

The world is literally on fire for sustainability and it is time for talent environment and responsibility to be adapted by all concerned with tourism.As one Nation, EK Bharat Shresta Bharat, each State/UT should embark to educate parents and children from grass root level about responsible tourism. A skill management programme should be conducted for locals without charges/ free or subsidised training programmes,shall generate employment and revenue for the locals/ state.”
