It also marks the state’s shift towards regenerative tourism — placing people, culture, and environment at its heart.
IndiGo to launch direct Vijayawada–Singapore flights
IndiGo has announced new direct flights between Vijayawada and Singapore, effective November 15, 2025. Operating thrice weekly on Airbus A320 aircraft, the route strengthens connectivity between Andhra Pradesh and Southeast Asia. This milestone will boost trade, tourism, and education opportunities while providing travellers easy access to Singapore and global destinations.
Air India–Airbus open Pilot Training Centre in Gurugram
Air India and Airbus have inaugurated a cutting-edge pilot training centre at Gurugram’s Air India Aviation Training Academy to train over 5,000 pilots in the next decade. The 12,000 sq. m. facility, a 50:50 joint venture, will house 10 full-flight simulators for A320 and A350 aircraft. With DGCA and EASA-approved courses, the centre aims to consolidate Air India’s pilot training and develop 50,000 aviation professionals including engineers, crew, and ground staff.
Thomas Cook India to manage Asian Aquatic Championships 2025
Thomas Cook (India) Limited has been appointed as the exclusive accommodation and transport partner for the 11th Asian Aquatic Championships 2025, hosted in Ahmedabad. Organized by the Swimming Federation of India and supported by the Sports Authority of Gujarat, this marks India’s first hosting of the event. Thomas Cook’s 40-member MICE team will oversee logistics, accommodation, and F&B coordination for 1,100 participants from 29 Asian nations competing across swimming, diving, and water polo.
