KLM marks 106 years with new Delft Blue House in Leiden
KLM celebrated its 106th anniversary by unveiling a new Delft Blue miniature house—Villa Rameau, located beside the historic Pieterskerk in Leiden. The house once hosted the Pilgrims before their 1620 voyage to America, symbolising centuries of transatlantic ties. KLM continues connecting the Netherlands and Europe with the U.S., carrying millions of passengers annually across fifteen destinations in partnership with Delta Air Lines.
IndiGo begins direct flights between Mumbai and Copenhagen
IndiGo has expanded its international footprint with the launch of direct, thrice-weekly flights between Mumbai and Copenhagen, marking its entry into Scandinavia. Operated by Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners leased from Norse Atlantic Airways, the flights offer both Economy and IndiGoStretch business seating. Copenhagen becomes IndiGo’s 44th international and 138th overall destination, following launches to Manchester and Amsterdam earlier this year.
Telangana launches its first Tourism Police training at NITHM
Telangana has launched its first batch of 80 Tourism Police personnel, joining 14 other Indian states with a dedicated tourist police force. The week-long induction programme began at NITHM, Hyderabad, organised by the Department of Tourism. The training focuses on visitor safety, sensitisation, and enhancing the tourist experience across key destinations. The inaugural session was attended by senior officials including ADGP Sri Mahesh M. Bhagwat, IPS, and Prof. V. Venkata Ramana, Director, NITHM.
