The Fern Hotels & Resorts opens their 19th hotel in Maharashtra
The Fern Hotels & Resorts recently announced the opening of E-Square The Fern – An Ecotel Hotel in Pune. This is the 19th operational property in the state of Maharashtra. Overall it takes the tally to 84 hotels managed by the company in India, Nepal and Seychelles. Singapore, India resume flight operations from today
Six daily flights from India will connect Chennai, Delhi and Mumbai to destinations in Singapore beginning Monday, November 29. A vaccinated travel lane (VTL) agreement signed by the two countries earlier this month paved the way for the resumption of flights. India’s Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) and Singapore’s Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) signed the agreement for the resumption of commercial passenger flight services. Airlines are also allowed to operate non-VTL flights between India and Singapore but travellers on such flights into Singapore will be subject to the prevailing public health requirements based on the Singapore Ministry of Health (MOH)’s Country/Region Classification for Border Measure.
Maldives welcomes the 1 millionth tourist of 2021
A colourful celebration was held at Velana International Airport on 29th October, 2021 to welcome the 1 millionth tourist to the Maldives. The 1 millionth tourist, Mr. Victor Vincent Corentin from France, was received by officials of Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC), together with the Ministry of Tourism, Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL), Maldives Immigration, Maldives Association of Tourism Industry (MATI), and representatives of the Maldives tourism industry. The event started with the stamping of the passport of the 1 millionth tourist by the Maldives Immigration officer. Victor and his spouse were escorted with a traditional Maldivian bodu beru procession to the VIP lounge area.
