Sarovar Hotels opens fourth Africa property in Kampala
Sarovar Hotels has expanded its African footprint with the opening of Bamus Sarovar Portico Kampala in Uganda, marking its fourth property on the continent. Located in Kampala’s central business district near Makerere University, the upscale hotel offers 90 rooms and suites, dining options, fitness facilities, kids’ play area and banqueting spaces for up to 500 guests, catering to business, leisure, wedding and corporate travellers.
The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts launches hospitality talent centre
The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts has launched The Leela Centre of Excellence in association with Le Cordon Bleu and GD Goenka University. Spread across 9,600 sq. ft. within GD Goenka’s hospitality and culinary school, the centre will support The Leela’s expansion from 15 to 24 hotels by training over 3,000 associates, strengthening leadership, service standards, culinary skills and luxury hospitality excellence.
