Etihad and Ethiopian launch strategic joint venture
The national airlines of the United Arab Emirates and Ethiopia have joined forces in a landmark Joint Venture (JV) that will transform connectivity between Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. Signed at Ethiopian Airlines’ headquarters in Addis Ababa, under this collaboration, the airlines are launching new flights between Abu Dhabi and Addis Ababa, strengthening ties between the two regions. Ethiopian Airlines will commence services from Addis Ababa Bole International Airport (ADD) to Zayed International Airport (AUH) on 15 July, while Etihad Airways will introduce daily flights to Addis Ababa starting 1 October.

Air New Zealand and Air India enter new codeshare partnership
Star Alliance Partners Air New Zealand and Air India have signed a MoU with the objective of boosting air connectivity between India and New Zealand. The MoU was signed at an event in Mumbai in the presence of Honourable Prime Minister of New Zealand, Mr Christopher Luxon, and other dignitaries. It includes the establishment of a new codeshare partnership on 16 routes between India, Singapore, Australia, and New Zealand, conferring travellers more choice and convenient access between the two countries.

Shri Rajesh Rana has been appointed as the Director (Commercial & Marketing) of India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC), a public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. He took charge of the office in his new role on March 17, and will serve as a member of the Board of Directors.
