Vietjet Thailand provides direct flights from Mumbai to Phuket starting INR 1
With four weekly flights beginning on August 15, 2025, Vietjet Thailand has announced the opening of its first-ever direct flight between Mumbai and Phuket, providing easy travel options for discovering the splendour of Thailand’s beautiful island. Vietjet Thailand is having a special “Phuket Grand Opening Sale” to commemorate the new launch, with base rates starting at just 1 INR (taxes and fees excluded). Bookings for this offer can be made from July 7 to 12, 2025, for travel from August 15, 2025, to March 27, 2026.
Atlys reports 32% increase in new Visa Applications
Thanks to easy access to the internet, increasing disposable incomes, and goals that now extend well beyond India’s major cities, a growing number of Indian tourists are making their first international appearances. First-time travellers’ applications for overseas visas have increased by 32% in the last 12 months, according to new statistics from the visa processing platform Atlys. Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities like Chandigarh, Surat, Pune, Lucknow, and Jaipur have accounted for almost 56% of this growth.
