HAI to host 7th Hoteliers’ Conclave in New Delhi on Sept. 18
The Hotel Association of India will host the 7th HAI Hoteliers’ Conclave on September 18, 2026, at Taj Palace, New Delhi. Themed ‘Re-engineering Hospitality’, the event will bring together policymakers, tourism authorities and hospitality leaders to discuss changing consumer behaviour, technology and sustainability. Discussions will also explore the hotel sector’s growing contribution to tourism, employment, economic growth and India’s long-term development ambitions.
Shirorda-Velagar five-star hotel project gets green signal
A long-pending five-star hotel project at Shirorda-Velagar in Sindhudurg has moved forward with a tripartite agreement between MTDC, Indian Hotels Company Limited and the local landowners’ cooperative society. Signed in the presence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, the agreement clears the way for the project pending since 1994. Spread across 54.40 hectares, the development is expected to significantly strengthen tourism in the Sindhudurg region.
