Rajasthan Tourism plans summer push for lesser-known destinations
Rajasthan Tourism Department is set to launch a large-scale “Rajasthan in Summer” campaign to boost off-season travel and position the state as a year-round destination. Integrated with “Visit My State” and “Holiday in Rajasthan” drives, the campaign will spotlight heritage, culture, wildlife and local lifestyles. Lesser-explored regions such as Bundi, Barmer and Udaipur will be promoted through digital storytelling, social media engagement and curated experiential tourism offerings.
Air India Express launches Xpress Sale with 5 million seats
Air India Express has launched its ‘Xpress Sale’, offering 5 million seats with savings of up to 50% on domestic and international flights. Bookings are open from May 27–31, 2026, for travel between June 15 and October 10, 2026. The airline is also offering zero convenience fees on its website and app, along with additional discounts on seat selection, meals, excess baggage and Business Class fares for Tata NeuPass members.
ITC Hotels signs 90-Key Fortune Select in Guwahati
ITC Hotels Limited has announced the signing of a 90-room Fortune Select in Guwahati, Assam, strengthening its presence in India’s high-growth North-East market. Scheduled to open in April 2028, the hotel will offer well-appointed rooms, all-day dining, banquet and conferencing facilities. Guwahati, a key gateway for commerce and tourism, attracts travellers visiting Kamakhya Temple, Kaziranga National Park, Hajo and Madan Kamdev, the 10th-century archaeological site known as the “Khajuraho of the North-East.”
Lemon Tree Hotels expands footprint in Tamil Nadu
Lemon Tree Hotels has announced the signing of Lemon Tree Hotel, Kumbakonam, Tamil Nadu, to be managed by its subsidiary Carnation Hotels. The 66-room property will feature a multi-cuisine restaurant, banquet spaces, meeting room, swimming pool, spa and fitness centre. With this addition, Lemon Tree’s Tamil Nadu portfolio will grow to eight hotels, including six operational and two upcoming properties, strengthening its presence in key spiritual and Tier II markets.
