MTDC unveils EX INS Guldar Underwater Museum Project
Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation has unveiled the EX-INS Guldar Underwater Museum, Artificial Reef and Submarine Tourism project near Sindhudurg. Backed by grants of ₹46.91 crore from the Government of India and ₹112.46 crore from the Government of Maharashtra, the project will include a 24+2-seater submarine, submarine barge and passenger boat, positioning Maharashtra as an emerging underwater tourism hub for scuba divers and adventure travellers.
Star Air relaunches Hyderabad–Jharsuguda–Bhubaneswar flights
Star Air has relaunched six weekly flights connecting Hyderabad, Jharsuguda and Bhubaneswar, strengthening regional connectivity between Telangana and Odisha. Operating six days a week, the service will offer direct and one-stop travel options, benefiting business travellers, industrial stakeholders, tourists and local residents. The corridor connects Hyderabad’s technology and commercial base with Jharsuguda and Bhubaneswar.
Malaysia Airlines hosts Trade Elevation Summit in Sabah
Malaysia Airlines, in collaboration with Sabah Tourism Board, hosted the third edition of its Trade Elevation Summit from May 12–15, 2026, in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. The event brought together over 300 delegates from 60 cities, including trade partners and tourism stakeholders. Held during Visit Malaysia 2026, the summit showcased Sabah’s culture, cuisine and island experiences while strengthening Malaysia’s global tourism and aviation partnerships.
Eco Hotels enters Ayodhya’s spiritual tourism market
Eco Hotels and Resorts has launched a new hotel in Ayodhya, marking its expansion into India’s fast-growing spiritual tourism segment. Located 5 km from Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, the property offers 33 rooms, a top-floor restaurant, lawn and swimming pool.
