#First Opinion
“We urge the Government of India to immediately issue strong travel advisories against countries like Turkey and Azerbaijan, whose diplomatic posture and associations suggest implicit or explicit support to hostile regimes that promote or harbour terrorism from Pakistan. These countries thrive on Indian tourism, and it is unacceptable for Indian travellers to fund destinations that do not respect India’s security concerns. TAAI calls upon the travel trade across India to refrain from the promotion and sale of tourism to these nations until their governments demonstrate support for India’s fight against terrorism. No Indian tourist should be sent to a country that disrespects our soldiers, our citizens, or our sovereignty.”
Sunil Kumar,
President, TAAI
