Air India Express launches Pune–Amritsar direct flights
Air India Express has commenced daily direct flights between Pune and Amritsar, enhancing connectivity between Maharashtra’s cultural and educational hub and Punjab’s spiritual capital. The inaugural flight departed Pune on June 15, offering convenient travel options for leisure travellers, pilgrims, students and business travellers. The service departs Pune at 01:20 hrs and arrives in Amritsar at 04:10 hrs, while the return flight leaves Amritsar at 05:00 hrs and reaches Pune at 07:50 hrs.
IHG Hotels & Resorts to debut voco brand in Udaipur
IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a management agreement with Circle View Estate Private Ltd to develop voco Udaipur, scheduled to open in Q1 2029. The 140-key newbuild hotel will strengthen IHG’s premium portfolio in India. Set on the foothills of the Aravalli hills, the property will offer views of the city and cater to leisure, weddings, meetings and events demand in Udaipur.
ITA Airways signs MoU with MAECI
ITA Airways has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation to develop a strategic partnership promoting the Italy System. Signed during the Conference of Italian Consuls Around the World, the agreement focuses on route development, internationalisation, sports diplomacy, preferential fares, joint participation in global events, and sharing studies on market trends, sustainability, international demand and workforce development.
Etihad enters its biggest summer season
Etihad Airways is entering its largest summer season, operating more than 300 daily flights with 10% higher capacity than last summer. Supported by 23 additional aircraft, the airline has launched four new routes to Kraków, Palma de Mallorca, Damascus and Zanzibar. Five seasonal destinations—Mykonos, Malaga, Santorini, Nice and Al Alamein—are also returning as demand to, from and through Abu Dhabi continues to grow.
