Goa Tourism, in partnership with Southern River Adventures, has kickstarted its monsoon white-water rafting season on the Mhadei River in Valpoi. Running from June to September, the 10-km route offers Grade II to III+ rapids through Sattari’s scenic hinterland. Part of the “Goa Beyond Beaches” and #GlowOnArrival campaigns, the eco-friendly adventure promises thrill, nature, and culture—drawing families and adventurers alike. Certified guides ensure safety.
Radisson Hotel Group scales up youth skilling efforts across India
As part of its community-focused outreach, Radisson Hotel Group, in collaboration with the Tourism & Hospitality Skill Council (THSC) and The Job Plus, is equipping over 308 youth across multiple states with essential skills in front office operations, housekeeping, and food & beverage service. Candidates undergo 300 hours of training and are trained for National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF) level 4 skills in either housekeeping/front office/F&B services/GRE and are awarded a certificate by THSC.

OBLU SELECT Sangeli signs reef conservation pact with EPA
In a major step towards marine conservation, OBLU SELECT Sangeli signed an MoU with the Maldives Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) on July 2, 2025, to jointly manage the Rasfari Reef Restoration Programme. Despite recent bleaching events, Sangeli’s reefs have shown resilience, thanks to over 10,000 coral fragments transplanted by the resort’s marine team.
