The Ascott signs new Oakwood property in Tirupati
In collaboration with KBR Homes India Private Limited, The Ascott Limited recently announced the signing of a 120-unit project in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, under the Oakwood brand. Designed to accommodate a variety of lifestyles and stay preferences, the facility will have 120 contemporary units, a fully equipped fitness centre, a swimming pool, Oakbar, and all-day dining. The project is developed by KBR Homes India Private Limited, a subsidiary of KBR Infratech, a Bangalore-based company with over 30 years of expertise in civil infrastructure.
Avenir Research Marketing to represent Luxury Retreats in Australia and India
Avenir Research Marketing, a boutique firm specializing in travel and hospitality, has announced its exclusive partnership to represent three luxury properties owned by Ali Khan. These include Narrow Escape Rainforest Retreat on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia, and Helsinki House and Helsinki Desert Camp in Jaisalmer, India. As part of the deal, Avenir will handle all sales, marketing, branding, and promotional work for the properties.
Wyndham, Cygnett partner to grow in India
Wyndham Hotels & Resorts recently announced a new strategic partnership with Cygnett Hotels & Resorts. Over the next ten years, the two companies hope to add more than 60 hotels throughout India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Nepal. Wyndham has entered into a number of strategic development agreements, the most recent of which being its collaboration with Cygnett, an Indian hospitality business with an expanding portfolio.
JNTO wins Silver at The Drum Awards!
At The Drum Awards for Marketing APAC 2025, JNTO’s sustainable tourism-focused promotional video, “Oku-Matsushima—Where all roads lead home,” won the Silver Award in the Sustainability/Responsibility category. The movie communicates the appealing qualities of sustainable tourism, which JNTO works to promote, and emphasises the significance of meaningfully interacting with local communities and making a good impact on the places visited. Established in 2014, The Drum Awards honour outstanding creative and marketing efforts that inspire, engage, and have a big brand effect.
