Tourism conclave held to boost tourist traffic to J&K
The Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Development Corporation (JKTDC) recently held a conclave aimed at promoting tourism in the region. Tourist arrivals in Kashmir are expected to touch an all-time high in 2024, with over 1.25 million tourists visiting the state in the first five months of the calendar year, according to JKTDC. Over 21.1 million tourists visited J&K in 2023.
ITC Hotels execute expansion through 6 brands
ITC’s ‘asset-right’ strategy envisages a substantial part of incremental room additions, going forward, to accrue through management contracts. In the last 24 months, 25 hotels have been opened under the brand portfolio, out of which 24 are managed properties. Malaysia Airlines hosts inaugural Global Trade Elevation Summit 2024
Malaysia Airlines successfully hosted the largest airline trade event in Malaysia, the first Malaysia Airlines Trade Elevation Summit 2024, in collaboration with Tourism Malaysia (TM) and the Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB). This inaugural event brought together 300 delegates, including 200 international attendees from 48 cities and 21 countries.

“In an extremely welcome move, Thai nationals applying for an e-tourist visa to India will be granted a 30-day visa fee exemption, starting on July 1 to December 31 this year. The Indian government has announced the e-Tourist visa fee exemption for holders of ordinary Thai passports to promote tourism. This move will definitely give a boost to Inbound Tourism, which is the need of the hour.
