“We are currently in negotiations with a couple of Indian carriers to initiate direct flights connecting Delhi and Athens. Before COVID-19, an estimated 50,000 Indian travellers visited Greece, while a substantial number of Greeks ventured to India for both business and leisure purposes. Establishing a direct flight path makes perfect sense. Post pandemic, our airport has become one of the busiest globally, currently serving approximately 28 million passengers. This year, we’ve witnessed unprecedented growth, placing us among the two fastest-growing airports in Europe based on the latest data.”
