“TAAI expresses its sincere appreciation to the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the Ministry of Civil Aviation as well as the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas for their timely and decisive intervention in addressing the recent challenges arising from disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz. Thanks to the proactive efforts of the Hon’ble Government and the concerned Ministries, this potential crisis has been effectively mitigated. The increase in ATF prices has been limited to a partial and staggered rise of 25%, thereby cushioning both airlines and passengers from severe financial strain. TAAI has also requested the Hon’ble Government to prevent any further rise in ATF prices, in order to reduce the burden on travellers and to avoid a larger negative impact on the travel sector.”

President, TAAI
