India, Japan boost tourism ties with focus on Buddhism, Education & Connectivity
At the 4th Joint Working Group (JWG) Meeting on Tourism Cooperation, both sides explored strategies to enhance bilateral travel, spotlighting India’s Buddhist heritage sites—Bodh Gaya, Sarnath, and Kushinagar—as key attractions for Japanese tourists. Proposals to launch student exchange programs and enhancing air connectivity was another top priority, with calls for more direct and frequent flights.
Berlin and Tel Aviv-Yafo sign Twin Cities agreement
Mayor of Berlin Kai Wegner and Mayor of Tel Avaiv-Yafo Ron Huldai have announced the establishment of a new Twin Cities partnership. The agreement marks 60 years of diplomatic relations between Germany and Israel and reflects the long-standing friendship and cooperation between the two cities. Tel Aviv and Berlin share democratic values and maintain numerous cultural, social, and economic ties. Both cities are vibrant and dynamic, attracting young people, artists, and startup entrepreneurs from around the world.
