Government earmarks INR 200 Cr. to set up special tourism zones
The Gujarat Tourism Department has earmarked INR 200 crore to develop special tourism zones (STZ) in the state. These proposed zones will be developed as both greenfield and brownfield projects. The state govt intends to develop altogether new sites as well as convert existing sites into STZs including sites of Dholavira, Shivrajpur, Sir Creek and border areas of Banaskantha.
