
41st IATO Convention concludes successfully in Visakhapatnam
The 41st Annual Convention of the Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) concluded successfully in Visakhapatnam, bringing together over 900 delegates from India and overseas. The three-day event, themed “India: The World’s Next Tourism Opportunity,” focused on inbound tourism, connectivity, digital transformation, responsible tourism and destination development. Discussions also spotlighted Andhra Pradesh’s tourism potential, role of AI and stronger government-industry collaboration to further accelerate sustainable tourism growth across the country.
The Fern Hotels & Resorts opens Abhimaani Beacon Hotel Bengaluru
The Fern Hotels & Resorts has launched Abhimaani Beacon Hotel Bengaluru, Rajajinagar, marking its third operational hotel in Bengaluru and ninth in Karnataka. The property features 54 rooms and suites, the multi-cuisine restaurant Barley Bro, a rooftop bar and kitchen, and multiple event spaces for meetings, weddings and social gatherings. Located around 2 km from KSR Bengaluru City Railway Station, the hotel caters to business and leisure travellers.
Emirates to introduce Premium Economy on Dubai–Paris route
Emirates will deploy its retrofitted A380 on the Dubai–Paris route from October 25, 2026, introducing Premium Economy and its latest cabin products to the French capital. Operating daily on EK071 and EK072, the service will make Premium Economy available across all three Emirates gateways in France. The airline said the cabin has recorded healthy demand on its Lyon and Nice services, particularly among long-haul travellers.
IGPL heads to Ras Al Khaimah for franchise event
The AM Green Indian Golf Premier League (IGPL) will stage its first franchise event of the season’s second half at Al Hamra Golf Club, Ras Al Khaimah, from September 23–25, 2026. Presented by Vimtra Chennai Lions, the tournament will feature a team led by 11-time Asian Tour winner Gaganjeet Bhullar. The renowned Al Hamra course has previously hosted major international tournaments, including the Ras Al Khaimah Championship.
