
WTC 2026 kicks off in Ahmedabad
The inaugural edition of the World Travel Collective (WTC) opened yesterday at the Gujarat University Convention and Exhibition Centre in Ahmedabad, bringing together the luxury travel fraternity on a dedicated B2B platform. The two-day, invitation-only event features around 150 exhibitors, over 2,500 verified travel professionals and nearly 200 hosted buyers. Curated around luxury, experiential, wellness, wildlife and MICE tourism, the showcase aims to strengthen business partnerships and position Gujarat as a key travel trade hub.
WelcomHeritage opens Heritage Palace Hotel in Jaipur
WelcomHeritage has expanded its Rajasthan portfolio with the launch of WelcomHeritage Kurki Palace, a 34-room boutique heritage hotel in Jaipur. Hosted by the descendants of the Ranbanka Rathore family, the property blends Rajput heritage with modern luxury. Featuring four dining venues, wellness facilities, and event spaces for weddings and MICE, the palace offers guests an authentic Rajasthani experience in the heart of the Pink City.
Air India, Azerbaijan Airlines sign codeshare agreement
Air India has entered into a new codeshare partnership with Azerbaijan Airlines, enhancing connectivity between India and Azerbaijan. The agreement allows Air India to place its ‘AI’ code on Azerbaijan Airlines’ daily Delhi–Baku and Mumbai–Baku flights, making Baku a new destination for Air India customers. The partnership builds on an existing interline agreement, offering seamless onward connections and strengthening business, tourism and cultural ties between the two countries.
IHG brings Vignette Collection brand to India
IHG Hotels & Resorts has introduced its luxury Vignette Collection brand to India with the signing of a 145-room hotel in Panchkula, Haryana, in partnership with Hanu Overseas. The property will feature 11 suites, four dining venues, a spa, swimming pool and over 2,200 sq. m. of event space for MICE and weddings. Scheduled to open in early 2026, it marks IHG’s expansion in India’s luxury hospitality segment.
